Training

Structured Postgraduate Research Pathways

Plasma science is a very exciting and dynamic field, intrinsically multi-disciplinary in nature. As a graduate of a plasma-related programme, you will be equipped with a diverse skill set that will enable you to pursue a range of science and engineering careers in industry, research laboratories, and academia.

The NCPST, in collaboration with the Faculties, offers a range of Structured PhD and Masters Programmes that are tailored to students’ needs. These programmes provide students with a unique opportunity to broaden their skill base and expand their career prospects through high-quality research, advanced training, and professional and personal development. The Graduate Studies Office also offers regular workshops on a wide variety of training, generic skills, and professional development topics.

If you are interested in learning more about our plasma-related PhD or Masters programmes, please contact us at ncpst@dcu.ie. We would be delighted to discuss the many exciting opportunities that await you in the field of plasmas!

Plasma Physics Education

In collaboration with the DCU School of Physical Sciences the NCPST has research interests in physics education.

Undergraduate Teaching

NCPST academics at DCU deliver a variety of plasma and related modules through the Faculties of Science and Health, and Engineering and Computing.

Undergraduate and internship projects are regularly offered. If you are interested in pursuing a project contact the relevant academic or ncpst@dcu.ie.
